Today I set out to photograph a road that I drive a few times a week and always think about when I'll stop to take pictures of this super gnarly bend at the bottom of the canyon. I arrived about 4:45PM and took a handful of test shots to make sure I was happy with the depth of field, etc. then waited patiently in my car for the sun to go down. I had the heater on (because lets face it, its January) and my dog in my lap dead asleep when a train of cars start coming down the road, so I jumped out and started snapping pictures. Needless to say after taking about 65 long exposures in different lighting I was finally happy with one of them. Then came the next part, I needed a starry sky! So I got back into my car with Moose, turned the heater on and once again began patiently waiting for it to get even darker. About 30 minutes goes by and I get out and take a single exposure, 30 seconds, ISO 2600 and f/2.8 - This is the end result of those two images edited and then blended together.
